How Hallco Live Floors Work

A HALLCO Live Floor® is a hydraulically-powered conveyor system which uses a series of moving slats to quickly move material across a flat deck of floor surface. The design of the slats including length, width and thickness depends upon the application. A two-way, variable speed hydraulic power unit moves the floor and allows for controlled loading, unloading and precision metering. The size of the HALLCO hydraulic unit again depends upon the application.

In a HALLCO Live Floor®, deck slats move together taking the load with them. They then return to their starting position, with every third slat moving in unison. The stationary slats hold the load in place until the next cycle begins.

1 - Cylinders mounted horizontally to deck slats use welded steel cross drives for superior strength and structural integrity.	2 - Modular drive design for quick, easy in-shop changing of cylinder sets--without removing the drive unit.
3 - Tie-bolt construction of cylinder manifolds for access to all parts without removing the cylinder module.	4 - Cylinder manifold block design for optimum oil flow and maximum unloading speeds.
5 - Solid, chrome-plated cylinder shafts with large piston area for low operating pressures and more efficient power transfer.	6 - Cross drives mounted directly to cylinder shafts with 6-bolt clamp assembly for structural rigidity.
7 - Rugged high density polyethylene bearings strategically placed for maximum deck support, reduced load force on cylinders and longer deck life.	8 - 2" x 1" rectangular steel subdeck for superior impact strength in bulk loading and fork lift operations. Available in aluminum for maximum weight savings.
9 - Choice in overall deck widths for true wall-to-wall fit to assure smooth, uninterrupted movement of entire load.	10 - Heat-treated aluminum floor slats available in four thicknesses to match the application, optimize wear life.
11 - Flexible, resilient high-pressure hydraulic hoses for dependability and ease of replacement (require no welds).	12 - Switching valve controls the direction of oil flow in the cylinders and causes slats to sequence back into place at the end of each cycle.
13 - Leak-resistant decking with overlapping slats to lock out debris and grit while providing full, complete floor-length protection.	14 - Impact-absorbing ridges in narrow leak-resistant and wide leak-resistant decking for added durability under direct dump impact.
15 - All HALLCO bearings have side "wings" that snap into place above the bottom legs of each slat, and bottom lips that fit snugly around subdeck to hold bearings firmly in place.
